4TH PLACE

In 2016, the Porto municipality launched a public competition for the development of a new public transport hub, revitalizing the eastern part of the city, which was still lagging in development compared to the rapid growth the city had been experiencing up until then.

Campanhã is an area characterized by its walls and its scattered, seemingly unstructured urban fabric. As such, our proposal functions as a wall, acting as a boundary for the existing railway lines, while referencing the local urban language. At the same time, the proposal defines a series of pathways that structure the area for its future development.

This allows the project to have minimal impact on the local landscape while restructuring the area and improving its infrastructure.
